Popular broadcaster kicks off Give me a Pad drive

Written by: Lilford Lesabe

Thespian, media personality and renowned broadcaster, Mihlali Mitch Matyana has started a sanitary pad drive called #GiveMeAPad.

This will be the second time the drive has taken place. The first time was two years ago when he turned 20. The drive will run for 22 days and the primary objective is to collect sanitary towels for school girls in need.

Mitch was inspired by Daniella Zinanni, a 12 year old pupil from Elkanah House in Cape Town, who founded the Bhabhathane Butterfly Foundation.

The foundation collects donations of sanitary hygiene and related products and raises money to purchase such products which she then distributes to schools in impoverished communities.

To find out where the drop off and collection points are listen below.
