Libraries founded on a lot of love - November Lead SA Heroes

Written by:
Tuesday 20th November 2012

For November, the Gauteng Region has two Lead SA Heroes of the month for the first time.

Tarryn Forman and Doron Haberer are two twelve year olds who, three years ago, decided to ask their friends and fellow scholars to donate a book that they no longer read. Each year this project has grown and to date they have managed to fill 2 libraries, one in Alex and one in Hillbrow.

Their project gained so much momentum that they managed to take a group of 60 scholars to the Hillbrow centre to read and play with the children who attend the centre. They plan to make this a monthly outing.
