Katlego Maboe, a hero for HOPE

Written by:
“I have been involved with HOPE Cape Town for some time and have admired the work that they do. I am grateful for this opportunity to become a HOPE Hero to the children and families affected by HIV/AIDS and TB,” said Katlego Maboe, Expresso breakfast show and Strictly Come Dancing presenter.

He recently became the official HOPE hero, advocating for the work done by the non-profit organisation.

He’ll also be rolling up his sleeves and getting involved in the organisation’s community outreach activities and programmes.

“We are very pleased to welcome Katlego as part of our team,” said HOPE.

“His contribution towards our efforts will help us to serve our communities.”

Katlego recently officiated the opening of HOPE Cape Town’s Toy Library at the Blikkiesdorp Community Crèche.

“This will allow local children to play with high quality toys that would otherwise only be a dream for them, encouraging learning through play,” said HOPE Cape Town Donor Relations Manager, Fahim Docrat.

On the same day, Katlego also officiated the opening of the HOPE Cape Town School Uniform Shop, an initiative to provide highly subsidised school uniforms to the local community and donate clothing as the need arises.

To support HOPE Cape Town or find out more about the work they do, you can contact Fahim Docrat on 021 9389339, email fahim@hopecapetown.com or visit www.hopecapetown.com.
