Countdown to Ball of HOPE 2015HOPE Cape Town is counting down to its annual fundraising dinner, the Ball of HOPE, held at the Westin Cape Town on 16 May 2015 from 7pm onwards. The event is co-hosted with the SA German Chamber of Commerce who has been supporting HOPE Cape Town since it was founded in 2001.This year the event has Expresso presenter, Katlego Maboe as the master of ceremonies. Katlego is also an ambassador for HOPE Cape Town. The guest of honour is Justice Edwin Cameron, a long time supporter and advocate for the cause.
The event which has an impressive line up of entertainment is sold out months in advance and will have members of the diplomatic core, international guests, celebrities and prominent members of the business community in attendance.
HOPE Cape Town is located at the Medical School of the University of Stellenbosch – Tygerberg Campus and is a non-profit organization providing outreach, education and counselling at community level, focusing on HIV/AIDS and TB in the Western Cape.
HOPE Cape Town is linked to the University of Stellenbosch and cooperates with the department of Paediatrics and “KID-CRU”, the Tygerberg Hospital research unit for paediatric infectious diseases.HOPE Cape Town began their work in 2001 with its mission to impact the communities they work in and have been very successful to date. Having expanded their services to address the increasing need they are now more reliant on the generosity of business and individuals to help fund their programmes.
