Radio personality to take on tandem cycle race through the mighty Himalayas

In a few days, Cyclist and radio personality Liezel van der Westhuizen will be taking part in the 1st SA all female blind and sighted pair to tandem cycle.

Van der Westhuizen and her partner Cindy Jacobsz will be cycling from Manali to Khardung La India, 18 330 feet covering 550km for 11 days from 18-30 August.

The two will be raising funds for foundations OneSight and Operation Smile. Van der Westhuizen speaks to CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies about her adventure.
