Mkhwanazi says that he was born and bred on a farm in a supportive community.
I’ve committed myself to youth development, and the idea of success for kids who grew up with single mothers he adds.

Mkhwanazi says that he is the product of a single mother, and adds that it wasn’t hard growing up without a father.
My community embraced the thought of raising a child because it was seen as the villages enterprise says Mkhwanazi.
I think that if there wasn’t that kind of a community, it would have been harder in terms of providing.— Sizwe Mkhwanazi, philanthropist
Mkhwanazi adds that there were many people in the community who offered to support for his family and mother.
