[WATCH] 'Swimming is like meditation for me', says legend Cameron van der Burgh

Olympic gold winner Cameron van der Burgh has opened up about his successful swimming career and future aspirations.

Van der Burgh joined The Pippa Hudson Show and a live studio audience of CapeTalk listeners to share and reflect on his inspiring story.

The South African breaststroke star recently announced plans to retire after the 2020 Olympic Games.

He spoke about his accomplishments, love for swimming, how he has overcome adversity, and his next chapters.

I started swimming at about the age of 10.

When I was a kid I used to hate swimming.

For me, swimming is almost like a form of meditation... It has this incredible ability to change your mood and it teaches you about yourself.
