Written by: Lengwadishang Ramphele

A Moroccan adventurer who set out to tour Africa on two wheels experienced something of a set back, when his bike was stolen outside a mosque in Jeffrey's Bay.

Yassine Ghallam began his mission to cycle through the whole of Africa in January 2017, with the intention of writing a book about his adventures.

So far Ghallam has traveled to 17 African countries, covered 23 000km and plans to explore some more before heading back to Morocco.

I don't believe Africa is dangerous, the people are very friendly...

Yassine Ghallam, Moroccan adventurer

I started my journey with $0 but I eat with villagers and stay with them because I need information for writing my book.

The community in Jeffrey's Bay were touched by his story ad bought him a new bike,

But my bike is not a normal bike, it is like my wife because I started this journey with it more than a year ago.
