Written by: diannem

The hugely anticipated Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge is taking place this weekend and Joburg could not be more ready! The event will see thousands of cyclists take on the 94.7 km route through Johannesburg.

This year sees a total of 116 charities taking part in the challenge - proof that South Africans just love getting dirty for good.

Here are just a few of the causes you'll see represented this weekend:

If you'd like to find out more about supporting these causes, road closures, or where you can go to watch the action visit http://cyclechallenge.co.za/ and http://cyclechallenge.co.za/rideforapurpose
