Five deserving NGO’s supporting the youth of South Africa receive R10 000 Grants

Written by: Sithandwa Ngwetsheni

BOS Sport is a proudly South African sports drink offering a sustained energy release using complex carbs and is rich in rooibos for optimal rehydration and muscle recovery.

Since its launch in 2013, BOS Sport has donated 5 cents from every bottle sold to their GO BOS Fund.

The aim of the fund is to develop resources/initiatives that encourage the youth of South Africa to engage and participate in sports.

Through the GO BOS Fund, BOS Sport has granted five commendable NGO’s with R10 000 cheques.

An intimate handover event was held on Friday 19 May where representatives from each non-profit organisation were accompanied by youth currently enrolled in their programmes.

The event took place at The Station, a new functional and personal training facility based in Green Point, where they completed a series of fun challenges followed by a hearty traditional South African braai.

In 2016, BOS Sport announced that five grants to the value of R10 000 each were available and received hundreds of entries from around South Africa. The following five NGOs were the successful recipients of the grants:

One Heart Foundation,Afrika Tikkun,Grassroot Soccer,Inspired 2 Become &Share The Stoke.

“We believe sport is the vehicle to unite and inspire youth, instilling in them the powerful values of commitment, perserverance and team work. The GO BOS fund was developed to encourage the youth of South Africa to engage and participate in sports - we are so impressed by the work of these incredible NGOs”

William Battersby, SA Managing Director
