Join Hands Against Racism!

Written by: diannem

As part of Anti-Racism Week which launched on Tuesday, the team at About 4 Pounds have launched a campaign to connect individuals across South Africa.

The campaign is simple; by taking a photo of yourself with your hands outstretched to either side, you will form part of a long chain of people online who are joining hands against racism!

See below:

"A movement created to bring about change, instill positivity and fight racism. As Madiba said; 'No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin.' Through this we can teach love, equality and togetherness."

Michelle White, About 4 Punds

Anti-Racism Week runs from 14-21 March, culminating on Human Rights Day and the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

The idea behind Anti-Racism Week and its themes is to challenge the racial legacy of the past that still impacts us today, and to work towards a more just and equal society.

Lend your voice to a non-racial society on social media, in your workplace, in your home and with your friends and family and raise your voice as a citizen of South Africa:

#TakeOnRacism and snap a pic of yourself with your hands on either side of you - and submit to Join Hands Against Racism
