Grassy Park man turns park into a safe and beautiful oasis

Written by: Lengwadishang Ramphele

A Grassy Park resident, Kenny Felix, has single handedly given his local community park a gorgeous makeover, inspiring others to follow suit.

CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies together with Peninsula Beverages visited Kenny's Community Park to see the work that Kenny Felix has done.

Peninsula Beverages offered paint to make it look more colourful.

Speaking to CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies, Kenny says the park looks brighter and more beautiful after the painting. He says his local councilor has offered to help him with some equipment to create a playground for children.

Kenny says other retired men in the area loved his idea and want to start developing empty spaces into beautiful parks.
