Meet the man behind The Loerie Awards (Africa’s largest creative gathering)

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed The Loerie Awards CEO Andrew Human for his weekly “ShapeShifter” feature.

Human took over the reins of the non-profit company in 2005.

Since then it has grown into the largest celebration of creativity across Africa and the Middle East.

Loeries Creative Week is the largest brand communications industry gathering in the region.

Under Human’s direction, the Loeries now administers the Pendoring, Creative Circle and Bookmarks awards.

The Loeries also endorses a Kenyan national award.

Andrew Human has a doctorate in engineering.

The Loeries was first held in 1978 to support and grow television advertising.

The Loeries recognises creative excellence in brand communication.

The Loeries is the most prestigious creative festival in Africa.
