Rabada - our hero on the field!

Written by: Dianne Mc Alpine

Kagiso bowls his way into our hearts!

When Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada made history last month as the youngest South African player to take seven wickets in a test innings, he also inspired a nation. Nation-wide, calls were heard to celebrate his victory as loudly as possible, and we listened.

This month we are honouring Kagiso Rabada as our Lead SA Youth hero, for his commitment and passion for not only Cricket but for South Africa.

From a young age, Kagiso had his eyes set on an international sporting career- whether it be rugby, cricket or soccer, he played as many sports as possible, and says " If you are hungry, you will get it."

His achievements are testimony to his work ethos; if you work hard at something and set your goals, nothing can stop you from achieving great things. He insists it is important to take things one day at a time, always do you best, and never play to lose.

The Proteas are currently taking on England in a series of One day internationals; if you can make it, why not head over to a match and share that #ProteaFire!
