ASA and NCPPDSA Present Autism Special Broadcast.

Our discussion will focus on Low or No Cost Interventions in:

•             sensory perceptual disorders

•             communication disorders

•             challenging behaviours

Our Guests:

We are privileged to have contributions from Donna Williams who is based in Australia with especially record material that will anchor the discussion with our studio guests. Donna Williams was born in Australia in 1963. She is diagnosed with autism and became in international author, artist, singer-songwriter and screenwriter as well as a qualified teacher, public speaker and autism consultant.


Jana Forrester is an educational psychologist in private practice, and has been the resident psychologist at Vera School for autistic children for the past eight years.

Kerry Wallace is an Occupational Therapist and Director of Polkaspot Early Intervention Centre

Chantal van Ginkel is an Educational Consultant in Autism and the founder and director of On Spectrum.

The live broadcast via satellite goes out to dedicated classrooms around the country from which studio guests can interact with our presenter and studio panel via SMS.

The classrooms/ venues in different places through the country, where you can watch these broadcasts must be booked ahead of time, see list below. Anybody can attend and watch free of charge and if not possible then a DVD copy of the Broadcast can be ordered through Sandra Maritz -  sandra.maritz@ncppdsa.org.za


•         The classrooms are not automatically open for the broadcasts because staff must be organized to be on duty, open the rooms and support the viewers
